LGBT History Month
LGBT History MonthFebruary is LGBT History Month. The theme for 2019 is History: Peace, Reconciliation and Activism to mark 50 years since the Stonewall Riots, a pivotal moment in LGBT+ rights and history. We want to acknowledge the contributions of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community and to encourage greater awareness and understanding through reading.

There will be displays of books in many libraries to celebrate equality and diversity in our society, and a reminder that libraries are safe spaces for everyone.
